Primal Games VIII

Join us for our 8th annual Primal Challenge which kicks off January 17th and runs through March 14th. Each year we like to challenge our members to “kick start” the new year with a fun in-house competition with your fellow classmates while testing your fitness and expediting the process of crushing your goals.

How: The first 5 weeks all athletes will accumulate points against their respective division in the “regular season”.  Each athlete will then be seeded based on the points they accrue throughout the first 5 weeks of competition. The playoffs begin week 6 and run through weeks 7 and 8.  The Mortal division of the playoffs workouts week 6, 7 & 8 will be selected “hopper style” just like last year.

What: 8 week in-house competition with 10-14 scored workouts to test your overall fitness level:

  • Oxidative endurance

  • Muscular endurance 

  • Low speed strength

  • High speed power

  • Coordination & skill

  • Work capacity under duress

When: 1/17 - 2/28

  • Thursdays in every class PG tests will take place 

*make up testing will be allowed with advanced notice 

Who: YOU! Designed for athletes of all fitness levels. You choose your division.

  • Beasts (Rx)

Extra Incentives:

  • Before and After body comp testing (optional; not mandatory)

  • T-shirt or Tank top

  • Open Gym Hours:

    • Tuesdays: 8-12:30pm

    • Fridays: 1:30-4:30pm

    • Saturdays: 10-12pm

  • Chances to win some really cool prizes

*To compete in the body composition category you must get your body comp scheduled before the challenge begins.

*The most improved category will be based on objective measurements ie: a baseline workout completed at the beginning and end of the challenge and subjective measurements based on coaches’ observations, etc.
