Kansas Squat Test

Some of you may have noticed a few of your classmates sneaking away to do squats in the corner with Preston. What’s going on? The Kansas Squat Test. Want to participate? He’s still seeking “lab rats”.

The Kansas Squat Test is a test protocol aimed at measuring lower body anaerobic power. The test consists of completing a single set of 15 back squats at a six second cadence. The weight used during the test is determined off the individual athlete’s 1-RM back squat and their body weight at the time of testing. We’re using this test to see how following general CrossFit programming affect lower body power.

If you’d like to do the testing let your coach know before class and we can accommodate you to do it during, after and/or between classes.
