Since his time at The Combine, Korbi has not only changed his body composition, but he has also made some remarkable changes with his overall performance; specifically his lifts. Although he has a mostly quiet presence about him; his will to get stronger and fitter is loud. We can't wait to see where he is physically and performace-wise in another year from now!
How did you discover The Combine [CSC] CrossFit? Why did you decide to try CrossFit?
CrossFit was recommended to me by friends as a more effective
alternative to running or working out at the gym. So I looked for the CrossFit box closest to my home with the best reviews and found The Combine.
What has CrossFit at the Combine done for your personally? Physically?
CrossFit had a great effect on me. Since I started about a year ago, I lost quite a bit of weight and have a lot more energy during the day. I sleep better and I also feel to be more mentally fit. I am very happy with the coaches and all the people working out at the gym. Everyone is very supportive and I look forward to every workout.
Who/what inspires/motivates you or why do you workout?
My biggest motivations are my wife and my two daughters Mila (3) and Lena (1). I want them to have a healthy husband and father.
What "ah ha" moments have you had in CrossFit?
The moment I was able to differentiate a squat clean and a power clean. There are many movements I am still completely unable to do, so I'm sure there will be many more such moments.
What fitness accomplishment are you most proud of?
Hitting a 165lbs Squat Clean in one of my first CrossFit Open workouts, which was 20lbs higher than my previous PR.
When you are not working out, how do you spend your free time?
Mostly hanging out with my kids, watching a movie or going out for a nice dinner. We're relatively new to the Austin area, so there is much to explore for us.

Cleans, Snatches and Front Squats
